Get to Know - Asante Kotoko SC

Story

Asante Kotoko SC is undoubtedly one of the biggest football clubs in Africa. Hailing from the footballing mega nation Ghana, the Porcupine Warriors won 2 CAF Champions Leagues, 24 local championships (the most in Ghana), and 9 FA Cups. As if that's not enough, Asante Kotoko was selected as the IFFHS Africa Club of the Century.

Asante Kotoko was founded in 1935 in Kumasi, the capital of the renowned Ashanti region. Since then, the club was home to some of Ghana's and Africa's greatest players including Ibrahim Sunday (Africa football of the year in 1971), Baba Yara (Asante Kotoko's stadium is name after him), and Tony Yeboah (one of the greatest African players in the world in the 1990s).

We are so excited to feature such a powerhouse on our website. Hope you are as excited as we are!
